We are nomads. We are not native to this place. We remember our home and from whence we came. We are now Moonsick. Described by some as Doom-Surf and even Acid Rock we play around the planet learning about people and how to act, behave, maybe even love. We are a musical Melodramatic Space Opera. Join us on our aural starship, the "StarClassic", while we rock, roll, and blast off.
Our eclectic mix of likes includes Butthole surfers, Dead Kennedy's, Helmet, Minutemen, Lady Gaga, Wire, Thee Oh Sees, DojaCat, Silk Sonic, P.O.T.U.S.O.A, Alice In Chains, Toadies, Suicide Machines, Primus, The Pixies and Suicidal Tendencies.

Welcome San Luis Obispo’s answer to the Mad Caddies. The nearby college screamed free brass player and the drummer met the guitarist at a Food 4 Less. Over the years this band morphed into something really special. The style started off more punk rock and stepped out a little unsure, but as the band found its footing it got heavier and kept the lightheartedness as it tightened up musically. They consistently played with Voodoo Glowskills and all sorts of interesting bands in the Central Coast.
Much like its members, this band graduated, got married and had kids. So now it sneaks out every once in a while to play a show trying not to wake up his sleeping wife and children.
It's like the Bosstones had a love child with the Aquabats that was raised by the Rx Bandits and then promptly beaten within an inch of its life by the Toasters, who grew up and got high with Choking Victim. Check out our contribution to The Big Ska Gamble, a 7” project from Grandpa’s Casino Recordings!

Much like a super soaker, Cheap Squeeze was pressurized and full of fun in 2016. Unfortunately, like a super soaker, the stream piddled a little too soon and no one was there to pump her back up again. Cheap Squeeze played mostly house parties and bars to much fanfare. They drank enough to score a Jameson Whiskey sponsorship and replaced a member MID-Recording. And who could forget the REALLY cheap tour that only made it to one location?
Their best fans included glassy-eyed bar flies and kids with nothing to do on a Friday night. They even played shows in a van down by the river with a generator. In short, Cheap Squeeze was the perfect band to have a good time. Three buds, a can, a distinct lack of a plan.
Their genius guitar lines were put together by Paul while the drum and bass combo kept it real. It sounded somewhere between the Nerve Agents and Agent Orange. That’s what they call a one two punch in ‘Nam.

Crisis Point broke the scene around 2007 and helped make the sleepy city of San Luis Obispo a little less quiet. Craiglists brought this team of heavy hitters together. Miles a fresh drummer in a college marching band with nothing to lose, Evan a talented guitar groupie, and Smitty the brains.
Smitty had been in projects in the South bay like the Choice, Prop 13, and Instigator. His influences and the young attacking power of two hungry nobodies helped to create a band with staying power. They band was together for almost 8 years playing up and down, (but mostly down), the California coastline.
They played anytime anywhere, military bases, VFW halls, Chicken Coops, backyard sweet 16’s, you name it. Only one 9 song album remains of what was around a 20-30 song satchel, but the Central Coast will never be the same.
Influences include The Choice, Prop 13, Instigator, Pennywise, The Partisans, Dr. Know, Black Flag, the Clash and Dead Kennedys.

What do you get when a Ska band breaks up and another punk rock band decides the bassist shouldn’t sing anymore? THAT’S RIGHT Exit Plan. We were the first. There is another Exit Plan now, but screw those guys. We all know who the better band is.
Exit Plan was short lived and raw but we got some shit recorded and it was good, thrashy, kinda surfy but ultimately energetic punk.
We’re all pretty sure Dog Eat Dog was the radio hit despite it never actually being on the radio that we know of.
Influences included South Bay punk like Pennywise and the Adolescents. I guess the Descendents were in there too. The drummer was listening to the Vandals, Psychosomatic and the Beastie Boys at the time.

Currently looking for a new drummer ?????
Simple catchy non poppy punk rock played fairly well depending on the level of alcohol consumption. Always seems to be a good time had by all who are slamming, singing along, or heckling at our shows. Influences include the Germs, Motorhead, Fear, Filth, Blatz, Dayglo Abortions, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Adolescents, G.G. Allin, Joy Division, Meatmen, Minor threat, Beastie Boys’ punk stuff (Aglio E Olio), etc.
Formed in 2000 with some people and ended in 2010 with almost completely different people. Many members came and went and some came and went again. Recorded many songs for things like a vinyl comp, numerous CD comps, a split 7", a CD EP, and more. Still play shows even though we are broken up since the 4 guys in this lineup always got along and still love each other as dickhead brothers....plus for some reason there's some people out there that seem to still show up at the shows....so every once and a while we figure....what the hell, why not.

STAB YOUR BACK was officially formed July 13th, 2009 by DamienSetAgainst (DEADSETAGAINST, JOHNNY COCK AND THE NUTS, FOR INSTANCE), Dave Carney (CORRUPTORS, SKEEZICKS, ASSAULT), Barnz (SKEEZICKS, THE LAST CALL, FURGUSONS), Jeff Towe (DRUNK IN PUBLIC, NEXT TO NOTHING), and James Vep (REDUX) as a side project to their other current bands at the time UNDISPUTED (Dave & Damien), THE KILZ (Damien & James), and WEAPON A (Jeff & Barnz). By the end of the month UNDISPUTED would call it quits and it became apparent that WEAPON A had unofficially called it quits prior to STAB YOUR BACK forming. THE KILZ remained strong for another year before going their separate ways also, but STAB YOUR BACK was definitely no side project to that band as soon as the 5 of them had their 1st full practice together.
With this lineup the band would write a 10 song set, record their 1st 6 song EP, get on a couple comps, and play 2 shows in their first 4 months as a band (the 1st month and a half without Jeff even in the same state). Jeff would leave the band for non band related personal issues only after 4 months of forming. Not wanting to lose any productivity the band would play 1 show as a 4 piece with James singing instead of playing guitar and having Barnz as the only guitarist.
Dave and Damien had been through the whole ordeal of a seemingly endless search for a lead singer during the majority of their time in UNDISPUTED, partially contributing to the forming of STAB YOUR BACK. With that in mind the band decided to waste no time in recruiting WEE RYAN, Damien's ex roommate and fellow band member and singer for THE BRIGANDS. This would turn out to be a great decision as this lineup immediately started writing new songs, playing live shows, and even recorded their second live performance together opening for the Adolescents and Youth Brigade and releasing it as a 10 song CD.
In July 2010 the band recorded their 2nd studio EP "Beg to Breathe", but before the release of the 2nd EP James would leave the band due to personal reasons only a month after his and Damien's other band THE KILZ had called it quits. After careful consideration the band narrowed it down to 2 guitarists they would hit up and if neither of them worked out they would rework some songs and happily remain a 4 piece as the band chemistry was at an all time high and the shows they were beginning to play as a 4 piece were going extremely well. Fortunately or unfortunately both guitarists were unable to join do to ones schedule and the distance the other would have to travel.
Shortly after the decision to remain a 4 piece was set they hit the studio again in December 2010 to rework a couple songs from the "Beg to Breathe" EP to be more like they play them as a 4 piece and be released in January 2011. The early versions before the reworking of some of those songs will be released on upcoming compilations. Also during that same visit to the studio Ryan rerecorded vocals to the 1st EP for an alternate release as a limited 7" to be released by Jerk Off Records in 2011.
In February 2011 the band played its final show with this lineup as Ryan and Damien decided to part ways with Dave on drums due to conflicting musical views and personalities. Dave was a great drummer and nice guy so maybe Damien and Ryan are just dicks...who knows. Anyway, this also lead to Barney not so much calling it quits, but actually refusing to communicate with the band about remaining in the band out of protest which eventually led them to find a replacement guitarist also. To fill those spots the band got 2 of Damien's ex band mates from THE KILZ...Evan Etzel on guitar (BLUDLUST, PORCELAIN PRAYERS, CRISIS POINT) and Miles Brown on drums (ACTION LEAGUE, CRISIS POINT). STAB YOUR BACK is currently working on new songs for their next EP this winter and will begin playing shows they have booked starting in June.
Influences include Poison Idea, RKL, The Freeze, Blood For Blood, Tragedy, Discharge, Insted, Minor Threat, Anti-Heroes, Hollywood Hate, Madball, Ill Repute, Adolescents, Christian Death, No Means No, Necro, Naked Raygun, Motorhead, APB, Corruptors, DeadSetAgainst, Weapon A, and Brigands.
